About East Devon Podiatry

Who We Are

We are a caring and very friendly podiatry/chiropody clinic located in Sidmouth, East Devon and run our clinics from The Beacon Medical Centre.

We offer Assessment, Diagnosis, Management and Treatment for all foot problems, from diabetic foot checkscorns and callus, to cracked heels, verrucae and orthotics. Often patients are completely unaware of the cause of aches and pains throughout their entire bodies that can actually be routed back to an issue with the feet. So even if you don’t have any apparent foot issue you should still pay us a visit if you have back pain, hip pain, knee pain or obviously painful feet.

A few words about

OUR HISTORY

East Devon Podiatry was first set up in Sep 2016. We are committed to providing foot care to the highest standards and give expert assessment of foot pain and problems, from corn and callus removal to troublesome nails, verrucae, diabetes and musculoskeletal issues

What is HCPC Registered ?

This means that we comply to the highest standards of care and enables us to use the term podiatrist as we have completed the very best specialist training that sets us apart and above any other professed foot health practitioner. If you want proper advice and treatment ALWAYS check that your practitioner is HCPC registered.

Podiatrists have to undergo rigorous medical training at a University which offers a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree. There are only 13 Podiatric Medical Schools attached to major Universities in the UK. In order to practice, Podiatrists must pass the degree, register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and gain full membership to The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (MChS).

Principal Podiatrist Sue Pyle is an HCPC Registered Podiatrist with over 27 years’ NHS experience, and is a specialist in diabetic foot assessment and wound care….this means we can quickly and easily refer you to consultants if required, to speed up your recovery time.
